Resume

Zhao Zibo, Research Fellow at the Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, member of the Youth Innovation Promotion Association of CAS (YIPA), and member of the CAS Youth Innovation Team. He is engaged as an external expert by AVIC Hongyuan Forging Co., Ltd.

His research focuses on the forging process and optimization of high-temperature titanium alloys. He works to improve the microstructure homogeneity as well as the stability and consistency of mechanical properties of forgings. A complete set of preparation technologies for high-stability titanium alloy forgings has been developed, which addresses prominent industry bottlenecks including excessive forging heating cycles, high clutter signals during nondestructive testing, and poor stability of microstructure and mechanical properties. Relevant research achievements have been applied to structural components of multiple new-type aircraft and aero-engines.

Main Honors

Won the Annual Outstanding Young Scholar Award (Applied Category) in 2021.

Received the Excellent Award of China Industry-University-Research Cooperation Innovation and Promotion Award in 2021.

Granted the 6th Shi Changxu Youth Science and Technology Talent Fund in 2022.

Named a Shaanxi Sanqin Talent in 2024.

Academic Achievements

These achievements have been applied in the production of critical components for new-generation aircraft and aero-engines.
